**Are you a dynamic and experienced finance professional ready to make an impact?**
REL UK Group is seeking a dedicated Finance Business Partner to join our UK&I team. Reporting directly to the Group Director of Finance Business Partnering, you'll lead a team of management accountants' dedicated to delivering precise financial information and providing exceptional business partnering support to the UK Field Marketing leadership teams. You'll also provide ad hoc support to Hamilton Bright France and JDH Solutions.
As the primary functional lead, you'll play a crucial role in driving sustainable EBIT growth through financial rigour, effective challenge, and data-driven insights.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Reporting**:
- Take full accountability for all month-end management accounting processes and reconciliation of specific balance sheet accounts.
- Manage your team effectively to drive continuous process improvements, enhancing the integrity and clarity of financial reporting.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing robust internal controls.
**Performance Management**:
- Assess client performance against key metrics, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities with in-depth analysis.
- Enhance margin analysis quality, leading the necessary reporting changes.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including variance analysis, to stakeholders at all levels.
**Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting**:
- Lead the development and execution of strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts in line with Group objectives and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to translate business plans into robust financial metrics and KPIs.
**Business Partnering**:
- Collaborate with senior management, department heads, and cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights and critical challenges in decision-making processes.
- Act as a trusted adviser to MDs, offering strategic financial advice, identifying growth areas, cost optimisation, and operational efficiency enhancements.
- Deliver concise management reporting information that provides clear guidance to non-finance stakeholders.
- Developing Excellence:
- Supervise and coach a team of three management accountants, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the work of management accountants to ensure accuracy in reporting and control of assigned balance sheets in line with Group policy.
- Provide
- a supportive framework that encourages ongoing professional development for all team members.
**Requirements/Experience**:
- Qualified ACCA or CIMA
- Full P&L and Balance Sheet ownership
- Experience managing budget and forecast submissions
- Highly analytical with a willingness to challenge the status quo
- Commercial mindset with experience influencing commercial and operational decision-making processes
- Gravitas to influence senior stakeholders at Board level and build strong working relationships beyond the finance function
- Experience in creating new processes, tools, and reports
- Dynamics 365 experience is desirable
- Exposure to commercial reporting tools
- Strong Excel skills
