**SOX Auditor**

**Are you an expert in Finance SOX audit requirements and compliance?**

**Full time, Permanent**

**Package**: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + company bonus

**Working**: Monday to Friday - 35hrs per week

**Location**: Hybrid - HQ Winnersh, RG41 / Remote

**Main purpose of the role**
- This role will assist in SOX implementation and will involve working closely with the SOX Manager, European Finance Director, other members of the SOX team, the wider ASL finance group, internal audit, and external auditors.

**Main responsibilities**
- Assist in creating and maintaining process maps and documentation and control matrices as changes or amendments to process are defined
- Assist in performing Detailed Testing of the key financial processes and identify control gaps.
- Assist in developing appropriate controls to ensure risks relating to key financial processes are appropriately managed
- Assist in training stakeholders in understanding established Key Financial control requirements for Local entities and Group controls
- Identify and understand control weaknesses, suggest improvements, and assist in the implementation of agreed improvements.
- Assist in the delivery of SOX testing for businesses in scope.
- As necessary, and on an ad hoc basis, assist the SOX Manager and the wider finance teams with other projects as they arise.

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**
- At least 4-5 years’ experience in an auditing or financial controls environment
- Technical knowledge and good understanding of finance processes, risks, and controls
- Demonstrate experience of working on multiple projects and managing time effectively to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrate good Microsoft Excel skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to liaise across different areas of the business and with staff at both senior and junior levels
- Effective influencing skills
- A good team player and works well in a pressured environment
- Can adapt to a changing environment

**Preferable**
- Qualified accountant/Auditor, ACCA, IIA/CIA
- Experience of working in a SOX environment
- Use of SAP BPC or similar reporting system
- Use of Microsoft Dynamics-ERP
