Jewellery Workshop Coordinator and Administrator

We are an established family Jewellery business with extensive history, currently being run by the fifth generation of the same family.
An exciting opportunity has risen to join our very well renowned and growing workshop team. We have a recently refurbished our onsite workshop and have a full time goldsmith and setter. We undertake a high volume of repair, restoration and bespoke jobs using the latest tools and techniques.
We are looking for a motivated and highly organised individual to coordinate all our work for both the onsite workshop and also our offsite watch, clock and silversmith workshops. This role will offer a wide a varied workload with opportunities to develop through practical experience and the ability to take professional qualifications.
- Logically and methodically track all jobs so all items are traceable at all times
- Assess clients’ pieces to determine what work needs undertaking with the associated cost and timelines
- Track, monitor and prioritize jobs ensuring deadlines/budget are met and clients are kept updated
- Test stones and metals
- Liaise with onsite goldsmiths to order bullion, findings and any materials that are needed.
- Be the main point of contact between shop floor, workshop and clients.
- Manage workload and priorities of onsite and external workshop.
- Manage budget, margins and profitability of the workshop
- A very high level of attention detail
- Ability to develop and follow processes and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Time management and multitasking
- Knowledge of jewellery, watches and gemstones
- Experience of a jewellery workshop
Pay: £25,500.00-£35,000.00 per year
