- 022024-116Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to study, right in the heart of the city and we currently have an opportunity for an Apprenticeship Administrator to join our dynamic team within the College of Built Environment.

**About the Role**:

- As the College of Built Environment Apprenticeship Administrator, you will work with the programme team to lead on facilitating reviews between apprentices, employers and liaising with relevant academic staff.
- Your engagement with employers and their apprentices is foremost to ensuring our existing and future apprenticeship programmes provide an excellent learning experience, meeting employers and apprentice expectations, in line with current requirements for apprenticeship provision.
- You will work collaboratively with both academic staff and apprenticeship managers to ensure systems and process are adhered to and that both quality and compliance is maintained to the highest standard in line with service level agreements.
- You will organise visits with external sponsors, apprentices, and academic staff to ensure the implementation of quality reviews and assessment of evidence for audits using APTEM.
- You will act as a personal professional academic tutor for learners and will need to engage actively on working with employers to support learners who have disclosed a need for additional support.

**The post holder will be expected to have**:

- Prior experience of administrative roles, with experience of working in a higher or further education environment in a quality assurance, partnership or apprenticeship setting an advantage.
- Great communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with a variety of people at all levels.
- Ability to successfully manage relationships with a wide range of contacts both internal and external to the University.
- Excellent IT Skills including advanced knowledge of information systems, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software packaged, preferable Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint.

- Excellent team working skills with the ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively with colleagues.
- Good time management skills and the ability to priorities work appropriately.
