**Members of the Finance Committee**

Canterbury Cathedral seeks to appoint new members of the Finance Committee.

The Finance Committee is part of the implementation of the new Cathedrals Measure of 2021 and plays a crucial role in the governance of the Cathedral, keeping its financial activities under review on behalf of the Cathedral Chapter (Board of Trustees). It is responsible for monitoring financial policies and strategies, reviewing the draft budget, regularly monitoring financial information and providing advice to Chapter to enable it to make sound financial decisions.

Members of the committee must have recent and relevant financial experience and skills including a knowledge of accounting and financial governance.
- In accordance with the Equality Act 2010, it is a genuine occupational requirement that the post holder is a practising Christian.
