Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Management Accounting to join our team at Michael Page Finance. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing professional and effective management accounting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the provision of management accounting services to senior management teams, department heads, and budget holders.
  • Take a lead role in overseeing the budget setting and in-year reforecast process, including the preparation of papers for submission to senior management teams and committees.
  • Produce monthly management accounts showing performance against budget and review these on a formal basis with senior management team members.
  • Take a lead role working with the Director of Finance to oversee the financial and budget implications of transformational change programs.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to improve institutional and management accounts reporting.

Requirements

  • Recognised CCAB professional accounting qualification.
  • Degree or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in management accounting within a medium to large organisation.
  • Relevant experience in a Higher or Further Education environment or other large public sector body and knowledge of Higher Education funding methodologies.
  • Advanced user of Agresso BW and reporting tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable staff management and leadership skills.
