**This opening assignment is for 2-3 mouths**
**Basic DBS check required**
**This role will be office based full time at a crematorium** The purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive administration support to the team using office technology and systems.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Receive telephone calls from members of the public and internal departments and action as required.
- Update and maintain administration systems, e.g. databases and other computer records
- Maintain and update all relevant filing systems.
- Receive, sort and distribute post received to the section.
- Provide administrative support to other teams, as required.
- Arrange meetings, attend meetings and take minutes as required.
- Process invoices as required
- Undertake scanning and uploading of documents to the intranet document library.
- Produce correspondence as required.
- Maintain confidentiality in respect of records, data and tasks undertaken in line with agreed policy and the Data Protection Act.
- Undertake any other duties of a similar nature and level of responsibility as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent to include English and Mathematics.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
- Administrative experience in an office environment.
- Minute-taking skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer facing/service background.
- Strong administrative and processing skills
- Good organisational skills with the ability to take the initiative and prioritise workloads.
- High Accuracy rates on Data Entry as what is entered can form legal documents.
- Ability to work under pressure, to changing demands.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
