We have an exciting opportunity to join the IT Services Department as Deputy Head of Desktop Services Team.

**About the Role**

You will reside in the Desktop Services Team in the Customer Services Group in IT Services.

You will assist the Head of Desktop Services in overseeing the delivery of the Managed Desktop Services to over 3800 users across the University. You will be part of a team of 16 staff, overseeing a number key services and staff performance.

The key responsibilities involve overseeing Service Management and delivery, as well as planning and delivering on key IT projects. You will also have a large role in relationship management both internal and external to the University.

You will have strong experience of IT systems life cycle management as well as delivery of IT projects. You will need to be very well organised and proactive, yet flexible and motivated with a professional approach to the provision of IT support services.

**About You**

You will be an experienced manager with strong leadership experience in leading technical teams. You will have excellent organisational skills and be a pro-active leader, with strong people skills, comfortable engaging with stakeholders across a number of areas.

You will have experience of delivering new services as well as reviewing and updating of current services.

You will have a passion for building and motivating high performing teams in a dynamic environment.
