To support all Group divisions operating at the TATA Port Talbot site in achieving good HS&E performance site by providing independent HS&E advice resulting from onsite audits, incident investigations and continuing general professional knowledge.

**Key Responsibilities / Measurables**

1. Sufficiently familiar with all areas of operation conducted by the Group divisions in the respective areas of the TATA site to enable:

- Suitably detailed job audits to be completed
- Risk Assessments and Job Method Statements to be reviewed and, where necessary improved
- Encourage / facilitate / support hazard reporting
- Meaningful remedial and preventive actions to recommended following incidents and accidents
- Provide guidance and information on the appropriate safety-related equipment (including PPE types) to be used on specific jobs.

2. Report regularly and punctually with the Group HS&E Manager on all aspects of activities conducted at the TATA site.

Represent the respective Group divisions in safety meetings convened by TATA Engineers

**Key Functions**

1. Ensure that all HS&E Information has been effectively communicated to all Operations workers.

2. Ensure that work activities comply with the JMS provided.

3. Maintain a good personal knowledge of legislative and site provisions relating to HS&E practices.

4. Provide clear advice on general and specific HS&E concerns.

Communicate, both orally and in written format with the Group HS&E Manager on tasks completed and issues arising within time-scale appropriate to the task/issue being reported.

**Qualifications / Experience**

1. NEBOSH General Certificate (or above)

2. IT Literate, familiar with MS Office programmes including Excel, Word and Outlook

3. Full UK driving licence

Preferably with previous experience of working in Steelworks / COMAH environment
