Salveo Care is a small, family-run care provider for the elderly, operating three care homes across South Buckinghamshire. **Kingfishers Nursing Home** is a multi-award winning private nursing home situated in the beautiful and quiet residential area of Bourne End. Kingfishers enjoys a wonderful reputation for providing the highest levels of nursing care to residents in a safe and secure environment. With a loyal and friendly staff base, we provide a comfortable and caring service with tasty food, regular activities, and a real ‘home from home’ feel.
**Job summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Undertake a range of office duties, including general upkeep of the offices, tidying, filing and archiving.
- Manage the office telephones, including answering, screening and transferring calls promptly and courteously, taking and distributing messages.
- To provide an efficient and friendly reception service, including welcoming visitors, making them comfortable and ensuring they adhere to security procedures.
- To oversee all customer billing and ensure that resident invoices are produced in a timely manner and in accordance with the Company instructions.
- Assistance with payroll and billing using Microsoft Office and Sage Accounts.
- To act as the first point of call for all staff, suppliers and enquirers for office and administrative enquiries.
- To assist with some HR activities including, but not limited to, assisting with interview process, pre-employment activity, and staff inductions.
- To be responsible for the purchasing of office supplies, including: ordering and maintaining adequate stocks of stationery.
- To undertake other ad-hoc administrative duties as required by the Home Manager.
- To liaise, deliver and collect from and to pharmacies, surgeries and hospitals as required.
**Required skills**:
- Excellent communication, including written and spoken English.
- Strong IT capabilities are essential
- experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Sage Accounts is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
- Organisation and methodical working, with exceptional attention to detail especially focused on documentation.
- Good customer service and people skills.
- You will be reliable, dependable and a team player who is willing to help others and will genuinely want to make a difference.
- You will demonstrate genuine enthusiasm towards the role and the care sector.
- The ability to take initiative and to have a positive, can-do attitude is essential.
