We aim to inspire the public and highlight the role that our research, and fundamental bioscience research in general, has in addressing societal challenges.We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic team player, with strong communication and relationship-building skills, for the role of Public Engagement Officer at the Babraham Institute. The role is integral to the Institute’s thriving and long-standing Public Engagement work, and will work with Institute staff and students to fulfil our mission to inspire, enthuse and excite public groups about our research. The post will focus on schools-related engagement with the aim of supporting Institute researchers to share their knowledge and passion for research, implementing curricula-aligned activities such as laboratory-based projects, experimental games and deliberative and discursive workshops, suitable for school audiences including students and teachers. The job holder will also help the Team to deliver wider engagement initiatives with adult and community audiences, as well as supporting the embedding of public engagement within the Institute.- This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and an enhanced DBS check (formerly CRB Disclosure) is required.- **NO AGENCIES PLEASE**
