About The Role

The Land Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estates and Facilities Officer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing organization and contribute to the delivery of an ambitious community-focused programme of growth and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a community centre and wider open space, ensuring a safe and secure environment for users.
  • Monitor and manage contractors, ensuring high standards of customer care and service delivery.
  • Provide first-line support to residents, responding to queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Produce key performance indicator (KPI) reports and site inspection reports to inform estates operations and decision-making.
  • Support the Service Charge Estate Manager with handovers of future infrastructure, including landscaping reports and sign-offs.
  • Engage with and support local community groups, chairing multiple user groups and building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Promote The Land Trust's policies and aims, ensuring a strong and positive reputation within the community.
  • Assist with negotiating annual budgets and ad-hoc works, ensuring effective resource allocation and management.
  • Monitor and maintain a booking system software to control bookings and optimize resource utilization.
Essential Skills and Attributes
  • GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or above.
  • Experience of using spreadsheets and the Microsoft Office package, with a good understanding of data analysis and reporting.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer-facing roles, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • 1-2 years of estates management experience, including management of maintenance contracts and reporting on progress.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Desirable experience with Service Charge management, although not essential.
Salary and Benefits
  • Competitive salary of £30,000, depending on experience.
