**Data Administrator**

**Key Objectives**:
1 Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the
Practice including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice team

2 Summarisation of patient’s notes. Reviewing medical records and producing an accurate summary of the patient’s medical history.

3 Enter test results and consultation data into patient records ensuring accuracy and compliance with current Read/Snomed code policy.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:
1 Action/oversee/code clinical letters and GP requests via workflow system under a protocol agreed by the GPs to ensure the correct Read/Snomed coding of clinical data is entered onto the system/templates. Look out for missing data relevant to the patient’s medical history.

2 Read/Snomed coding information into the Practice clinical system

3 Filing and retrieving of pathology information.

4 Carry out any action requests from GP’s e.g., generating letters to send to patients, chasing patient appointments and clinical letters.

5 Culling of patient’s paper records and filing.

6 Resolve simple printer and PC problems, troubleshooting IT problems and identify solutions. Where appropriate liaise with ABS/CSU IT Support to resolve issues that require their input and report IT faults to appropriate supplier’s helpdesk

GCSE grades A - C or equivalent

Excellent numeracy and Knowledge of EMIS literacy skills Web clinical system

**Experience**

Ability to multitask,

Problem solving - seeking solutions from a variety of sources to resolve complex problems.

Working with PC systems and good keyboard skills

**Knowledge**

Ability to learn new

Excellent customer service skills, tactful, polite, and patient, verbal, written and negotiating skills

**Other requirement**
