We have a unique and exciting part time opportunity for a Soft Service Matron to join our existing team based at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. Reporting into the Contract Director (with dotted line professional responsibility to our Clinical & Safety Director) and working as part of the contract Leadership team, you’ll help to provide clinical leadership to the Contract. With an understanding of our key business goals, clinical governance service drivers, and patient feedback, you’ll actively develop and implement solutions to enhance the delivery of our services and ensure any continuous improvement is patient centric.

Working patterns can be flexible to cover 3 or 4 full days and may, on occasion, involve some evening and weekend working to support continuous improvement.

Working in partnership with Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Foundation Trust Serco provides essential services including Catering, Cleaning, Security, Portering and Estates. As our Soft Services Matron you will act as a crucial interface between the clinical teams and the Serco services teams, building on that strong working partnership and making a positive impact on overall patient safety and experience.
What you'll need to do the role You will need to be a registered practitioner on the NMC register (RGN), with evidence of ongoing post registration experience. Excellent communication, influencing and mentoring skills Comfortable writing and presenting reports to senior stakeholders. Given the environment, you’ll need recent experience of working in an acute NHS setting and have an active awareness of regulatory standards. A good understanding of current Infection, Prevention Control guidelines is a must and a willingness to be highly visible and accessible to our teams will drive your success in this critical role.
