Working in partnership with Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Foundation Trust (NNUHFT), Serco provides essential services including Catering, Cleaning, Security, Portering and Estates.

As our Soft Services Matron you will act as a crucial interface between the clinical teams and the Serco services teams, building on that strong working partnership and making a positive impact on overall patient safety and experience.

This is a unique opportunity for an aspiring clinical leader to gain some commercial experience.


Reporting into the Contract Director (with dotted line professional responsibility to our Clinical & Safety Director) and working as part of the contract Leadership team, you'll help to provide clinical leadership to the Contract.

With an understanding of our key business goals, clinical governance service drivers, and patient feedback, you'll actively develop and implement solutions to enhance the delivery of our services and ensure any continuous improvement is patient centric.


Working patterns can be flexible to cover 3 full days and may, on occasion, involve some evening and weekend working to support continuous improvement.


What you'll need to do the role*First and foremost, you need to be a registered practitioner on the NMC register (RGN), with evidence of ongoing post registration experience.


As this is a leadership role you'll naturally need strong communication, influencing and mentoring skills and you'll be comfortable writing and presenting reports to senior stakeholders.

Given the environment, you'll need recent experience of working in an acute NHS setting and have an active awareness of regulatory standards.

A good understanding of current Infection, Prevention Control guidelines is a must and a willingness to be highly visible and accessible to our teams will drive your success in this critical role.

Lastly and most importantly, you'll need to passionate about patient safety and experience.
