Inpatient Volunteer Project Coordinator

Work collaboratively with the Voluntary Services Manager, Dementia Services Lead, Ward Matrons/Sisters and Allied Health Professionals to co-ordinate the full implementation of a volunteer investment plan which ensures that all appropriate inpatients are referred to the Volunteer team for holistic and practical support whilst in hospital. Contribute to the development and implementation of a strategy for volunteering which promotes and supports the inclusion of volunteer involvement for inpatients and support for visitors in ward areas. Align the volunteer programme to the Trusts key objectives and best practice around hospital acquired deconditioning and dementia support. Work closely with all project stakeholders (clinical, nursing, medical, administrative staff, suppliers and partners) to encourage and support service charge and ensure buy-in throughout the project stages.

Support the design, measurement and delivery of project benefits, justification and progress to all key stakeholders and maintain a comprehensive system for monitoring action plans, checking timescales and preparing reports for committees as required.
