**The Post**
The Project Coordinator will support in the day-to-day delivery and administration of the creation of a National Heritage Lottery Funded Eco-museum of Scottish Mining Landscapes.

The new virtual museum, that celebrates a sense of place, will work with local communities to encourage people to explore the landscape of Scotland’s historic coal belt stretching from Ayrshire to Fife. For further details of the project please click HERE.
**Description of Duties**
The Project Coordinator role will be supporting the project lead with administration, event management, co-production and community engagement, feedback and evaluation and data upload to the museum
- Provide direct administrative support to the project lead and project partners where required
- Reach out to former mining town and villages via local community, history and heritage groups and promote engagement with the project
- Act as a key contact between project partners, student and community volunteers
- Organise the community field and skills training sessions
- Support the community groups and individual members of the public across the central belt of Scotland to a) design and research heritage walking/cycling routes that tell the story of local mining on a digital platform and b) to support their contribution to contribute to blogs, digital stories and social media
- Uploading existing Landscape Legacies of Coal data (text, images, and audio files) to a new digital platform and the recreation of digital route maps (training as necessary will be provided)
- Monitor and gather feedback
- Support project communications including social media and web presence
- General administration tasks, including risk assessments, scheduling/organising monthly support meetings, room bookings, and volunteers’ expenses
- Any other duties required commensurate with the grade

**Qualifications**:

- Educated to first degree level or relevant workplace experience and keen to gain experience in community engagement and digital heritage

Knowledge & Experience
- Demonstrable Project Coordination experience in multi-stakeholder contexts
- Experience of working with project partners from a range of sectors
- Experience of working in communities and collaborating with local people to deliver project outcomes
- Experience of organising events for a range of different audiences
- Experience of managing communications, using different media, including social media, web presence and printed materials
- Experience of managing large data sets
- Active interest in, or enthusiasm for mining history and heritage
