**Job summary**:

- This role is the Head of Aerospace and Financial Institutions and works within the Risk Management Group at UKEF.
- Has the responsibility for the day-to-day operational leadership and accountability for 2 distinct credit risk teams; Aerospace (mostly Airlines and Lessors) and Financial Institutions (mostly Banks and Insurance companies).
- Management of the team to ensure all new enquiries are filtered, structured and managed through credit processes appropriately.
- Management of the team to ensure all credit reviews in this sector, ratings and LGD assessments are appropriate for the cases, produced to the quality and time required. Using credit and other tools to ensure the best available reviews are produced.

**Job description**:
**Leadership and Management**
- Leading, Managing and motivating 2 teams (total of approx. 6 FTE); including Managers at Grade 6/7.

**Specific activities within the Head of Aerospace and Financial Institutions responsibility**:

- The Risk Management Division is responsible for reviewing all new medium term credits
- In order to manage the work, the Head of Aerospace & Financial Institutions will need to work collaboratively with the Business Group Division and in particular with other Divisions within Risk Management Group which includes; Enterprise Risk Management, Portfolio Management & Pricing & Risk Analytics Division.
- Key activities include:

- Provide both technical risk support and challenge to the issue risk review process. Ensuring the quality and depth of analysis is appropriate for our transactions.
- Use commercial judgement and risk expertise when negotiating structures and deal proposals.
- Analyse, review and propose risk management options for UKEF. Managing the process through the risk acceptance and review.

- Detailed knowledge of risk management and control processes.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of credit rating tools, assessments and credit market behaviours
- Extensive credit risk management experience including the direct exercise of (significant) personal credit approval authority across a very diverse range of asset classes.
