Finance and Human Resources Administrator

Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire are a charity providing respite support to unpaid Carers; providing a regular break each week by stepping in to take care of their loved one for a few hours enabling the Carer to have some rest and relaxation of their choice. The organisation supports the communities of Kirklees, Wakefield, Leeds and Calderdale and is a charity of significant size with around 120 employees.
We are now seeking an Administrator to support our Finance and Human Resources Departments. This position will be the connection between the two departments where there are common interests and activities.
This is a part time role of 16 hours per week which can be worked flexibly but must accommodate the needs of the organisation during busier times. An example of this would be to work a slightly longer day when payroll is being processed each month.
The starting salary for this role is £20,500.00 pro rata which is £8864.87 per annum for 16 hours per week.
This role would suit an individual who has some experience around payroll, human resources and finance functions and understands the legal compliance requirements around these activities. The individual may like to progress their career within these areas.
**Essential Criteria**:
- Proficient in the use of MS Suite of programmes
- Experience with databases and data input
- Experience with handling payments in all formats
- Ability to maintain accurate records with a high level of attention to detail
- A good organiser - ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload
- Experience in working with sensitive information and the handling of confidential data
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
