**Communications & Engagement** Lead **(Inside IR35)**

**Contract Term: 10 months (potential For Extension**

**Contracting Authority: National Crime Agency (NCA)**

**Location: Hybrid London or Birmingham (3 days a week in the office)**

**The Comms and Engagement lead is responsible, on behalf of the Programme Director for programme communications and engagement activities. This includes preparing the stakeholders for the forthcoming changes and completing all necessary activities associated with that preparation for go live and then supporting the transition to the new go live state.**


**As a Communications & Engagement Lead your main responsibilities would be**:

- Maintain an up to date comms & engagement plan, programme stakeholder list, and stakeholder analysis
- Ongoing engagement with all key stakeholder groups (reporters, LEAs, OGDs, UKFIU, the NCA) e.g. via change network meetings, webinars, Reporter Working Groups
- Design and delivery of regular external programme communications e.g. change bulletins, surveys, SARs IT updates (including BR readiness and PAG), UKFIU Expansion updates and success stories, SARs in Action magazines
- Design and delivery of regular internal programme communications, including members of the programme team and the Home Office

**You’ll have relevant experience in**:

- Active SC Clearance (Ideally)
- Proven experience in delivering Communications and engagement activities to support large scale complex programme change that includes IT enabled business transformation.
- A sound understanding of how to research, design and deliver comms plans
- An ability to use data and other forms of insight to shape the design and approach of communications
- A strong understanding of different stakeholders and how to reach them
- Experience of managing change programmes and staff communication strategies.
- An ability to design and implement measurable digital communication plans
- Management skills; you will be exceptionally well organised with a sharp attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent collaboration skills, establishing and developing productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of the digital landscape
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work to deadlines. Ability to work in an environment of uncertainty and continual change.
- Experience in a communications role of turning complex information into meaningful, easy-to-read, messaging
- Experience of delivery of communication plans, content, channels and events.
- Experience of working on own initiative in a fast-moving and high-risk environment.
- Proven experience of communications and engagement methods and practical delivery of materials and facilitation of engagement sessions

**You will also have these Qualifications/Skills**:

- Public sector Knowledge (an advantage)
- Previous experience of working in a Law enforcement environment
- Experience of delivering comms and engagement activity for organisations transitioning to cloud technology
