Booking Coordinator

Our client is a franchised dealership based in Cardiff who is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join their team as a Bookings Advisor. This position is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within the automotive industry, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of vehicle bookings.
**Role Overview**:
As a Bookings Advisor, you will be responsible for liaising with customers to schedule appointments for their vehicles, providing expert advice, and promoting additional services as required. Your primary objective will be to ensure a seamless booking process while maximizing revenue opportunities through upselling and advising on additional work, including recalls and previous advisories. The role will initially be on-site Monday to Friday, Saturdays will be worked on a rota 1 in 4 and paid as overtime. After probation you will work in a hybrid work environment with a mixture of home and office.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Providing accurate and timely information regarding available services, pricing, and appointment availability.
- Upselling additional services and advising customers on recommended maintenance and repairs based on vehicle history and manufacturer guidelines.
- Collaborating with the bookings team to optimize scheduling efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining comprehensive records of bookings, customer interactions, and service recommendations.
- Liaising with service technicians and other departments to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve any customer queries or concerns.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a customer service or bookings role, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations.
