**Responsibilities include**:
**Finance**
- Support the Financial Controller by inputting into sales and purchase ledgers from source documents into accounting systems including Job Costing and SAGE ensuring accuracy of the purchase ledger.
- Cross checking invoices with SAGE to determine any anomalies.
- Matching invoices to statements and purchase orders to invoices.
- Processing invoice queries and liaise with supply chain to resolve disputes.
- Maintenance of sales ledgers and debt control.
- Reconciliations.
- Posting of receipts and payments.
- Ensure effective payment of invoices.
- Resolution of finance related queries.
- Assist with end of year preparation and procedures.
- Plan, organise and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the company’s monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.
- Office and Site Asset Registers
- Provision of ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by management.
- Inputting and updating Project P&Ls.

**Payroll**
- Preparation and management of the weekly payroll process utilising SAGE Payroll.
- Prepare and submit information to statutory authorities including HMRC.
- Preparing the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) submission.
- Reconciliation of site biometrics to telematics and project manager timesheets.
- Ensuring compliance with IR35 legislation.
- Reporting agency and CIS labour hours.
- Enrolment of any new operatives on to the site biometrics.
- Updating labour budgets and project reports to account for all direct labour costs and reporting these to the Contract Managers on a weekly basis.
- High level of competence in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Expert knowledge in SAGE Payroll and SAGE Accounts Line 50
- Familiar with the construction industry and its processes, i.e., Payer Notices, CIS & Retentions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organisation skills used in planning own work.
- Calm and professional disposition.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines.
- Able to work in a busy office environment that often demands high levels of concentration.

The job specification is based on a part-time, temporary contract only. This job role is ideal for part time working hours, circa 24 hrs per week.
