Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the leading provider of health and social care services for people of all ages with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in Surrey and north east Hampshire.

We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Deal with the day-to-day demands on the Department and aim to resolve any problems, whilst using own initiative to ensure that urgent matters are dealt with proactively.
- Managing internal and external enquiries, sometimes difficult or sensitive, in a timely and appropriate manner if other administrators are unable to do so. Providing and receiving complex and sensitive information, both verbal and written.
- Provide mutual support to the wider team during times of workload pressure, to ensure adequate cover for the team as well as to organise cover during periods of sick leave.
- Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and as agreed with their line manager as part of the personal development planning process.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:

- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Good working knowledge of administrative and secretarial processes e.g., electronic filing systems and formatting documents/report.
- Experience handling confidential information.
- Minimum four years’ experience working with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- At least two years’ experience working at a senior administrative level.
