Job Title: Head of Finance and Administration

Michael Page Finance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance and Administration to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and expertise to drive the organization's financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including income and expenditure, cash flow, and balance sheet for Painshill Park Trust Ltd and its trading company, Painshill Enterprises Ltd.
  • Oversee the management of human resources procedures, including recruitment, onboarding, remuneration, and liaison with external HR providers.
  • Prepare and deliver management accounts and reports to the Board of Trustees and stakeholders, in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) Regulations.
  • Develop and implement the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and cost-reduction strategies to align with the organization's strategic direction.
  • Manage the payroll process, including PAYE and NI, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate the annual audit process and ensure compliance with Companies House and Charity Commission regulations.
  • Prepare and submit VAT and Gift Aid returns to HMRC.
  • Provide analytical advice to the Director, monitoring cash flows, predicting future trends, and analyzing changes.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation.
  • Lead the finance and administration team, providing leadership, coaching, and training to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant with ACC/ACCA/CIMA certification.
  • Proven experience in financial leadership and management, with a strong track record of delivering financial results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and make informed decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team, wider team, and Board of Trustees.
