Engage Talent Partners are working on an exclusive recruitment project to source an HR Advisor for our client who are an established, global drilling contractor based in Aberdeen.
You will be joining the team as the company embarks on a journey of ambitious growth. This position will be key to supporting expansion and will be responsible for the full life-cycle of offshore employees and contractors.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the HR Manager/VP HR as directed.
- Responsible for the recruitment and selection of offshore personnel for designated MOUs. Ensure that the correct procedure and process is followed and that it is carried out efficiently and effectively with assistance where necessary.
- Where necessary act as relief for other roles within the team, as required, to cover absence of colleagues.
- Provide input into yearly budget figures/headcount review.
- Plan, organise and administer a flexible logístical and personnel support service for designated personnel/MOUs.
- Participate in a rota providing 24 hour on call duty to all MOUs as required.
- Overall responsibility for the maintenance of an accurate employee database(s) and files as necessary in order to produce timely and accurate regular or ad hoc reports.
- Work closely with Rig Management to meet operational requirements.
- Seek guidance from and report regularly to the HR Manager/VP HR on exceptional requests/incidents/issues.
- Seek to improve services, systems and processes to provide a more effective and efficient service to the organisation.
- Coordinate and administer change of personal details, employee payroll, pension and private medical insurance information to ensure accurate and current information is maintained.
- Coordinate, prepare the appropriate documentation and participate any discussions/formal meetings with offshore employees in relation to disciplinary/grievance/long term absence processes. Liaising with HR Manager/VP HR, Rig Management and Company Solicitoron such issues.
- Monitor absence, turnover, agency personnel, disciplinary cases etc. and report as required.
- Ensure succession planning and length of service report for offshore personnel is regularly reviewed and updated.
- Coordinate, plan, organise and administer the Company’s training requirements (as designated) as defined by the approved training procedure and associated training manual and matrix.
- Be familiar with training requirements for country of operation.
- Ensure training levels for appropriate MOU are regularly reviewed, highlighting any issues in a timely manner.
- Undertake MOU visits as required.
- Participate in the incident/relative response exercises and response as required.
- Be familiar with the contents of the contracts for specific MOU(s) and the clauses effecting personnel issues.
- Be familiar with tariff agreements and internal/external regulations as applicable.
- Prepare and coordinate turnover, sickness and man-hours as required.
- Adhere to and implement, where applicable, Company HSEQ procedures.
- Flexible approach is required and be prepared to undertake all other duties, as defined by management, relevant to the competence and ability of the incumbent.
