Our client is looking for a Purchasing Assistant on a long-term contract basis, located in Aberdeen.

**ROLE**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

- You are used to working in a fast-paced purchasing environment

Who you’ll be working with:
Reporting into the Purchasing Supervisor, you will work with a team of purchasers and will engage with the wider UK and Global Supply Chain

Here’s what a typical day would be like:

- Assist the purchasing team in all purchasing activities
- Place purchase orders on company approved systems
- Expedite open orders
- Administration and coordination of the Approved Suppliers List
- Collation of data and issuing of monthly reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Support the Purchasing team with ad-hoc administration
- Dealing with invoice queries

**REQUIREMENTS**

Essential
- IT literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work under own initiative

Desirable
- Working towards CIPS qualification
- Previous experience working in purchasing, procurement or supply chain
