There is an opportunity to join the Acas Change Management Office as a Project Support Officer apprentice. You’ll be joining a team that is committed to delivering a great service, has passion and enthusiasm for the work we do, and fully support each other in this rewarding and varied role. The Project Support Officer will support colleagues in delivering a variety of different projects which will assist Acas in achieving its strategic ambitions. You will work towards completing an **Associate Project Management Level 4 Apprenticeship qualification**.

**Job description**:
Reporting:

- Support the maintenance of the portfolio view of Acas’ project and change activity ensuring that it’s accurate and up-to-date;
- Support the identification of interdependencies across change activity and projects. Report issues to relevant colleagues and recommend action where necessary;
- Commission information to populate the corporate performance reports when necessary;
- Obtain information from a range of sources throughout the business, collate and present this back to relevant stakeholders.

Project and Change Management:

- Provide administrative and practical support to the Change Management Office in the building of Change and Project Management capability across the organisation;
- Provide practical project expertise to support the delivery of projects and change initiatives throughout the business, whilst developing own project management skills;
- Maintenance of key control Governance documents e.g. risk register, issue log, dependency management, action point log, etc;
- Regularly check performance against objectives, making suggestions for improvement or taking corrective action where necessary.

Board support:
Provide secretariat support to various boards e.g. taking accurate minutes, actions, collating agendas and collating and disseminating papers

**Experience**

**Essential criteria**:

- Proficient at using IT systems, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office packages and SharePoint;
- Excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate in a friendly, open and constructive manner with a diverse range of people;
- Ability to understand and creatively deliver complex and varied information;
- Evidence of effective organisational, time management and prioritisation skills and using these to successfully deliver outcomes;
- Able to work on own initiative with mínimal supervision and be proactive.
