**Job Purpose**

This exciting, fast-paced role plays a crucial part in shaping our messaging and supporting our aim to attract and engage prospective students and employers through raising awareness of our course offer and the difference we make to the lives of our learners.

You are an articulate and proactive individual with a flair for communications and at least three years of experience in a similar marketing/events role. You will have excellent writing skills, be a confident communicator and be an organised self-starter. You are an agile and enthusiastic individual capable of absorbing key information quickly and handling a diverse workload to meet the fast pace of the organisation.

You will lead on collating and generating content and ensuring marketing activity is publicised across all appropriate channels and platforms. You will also manage and deliver key events, including open events and exhibitions

You will work with and be supported by the Director of Marketing and Communications and a team that seeks out innovative solutions and best-practice business processes whilst delivering the “day-to-day” at a consistently high level.

**Key duties and responsibilities**
- Support College initiatives and aspirations to achieve Net Zero carbon.
- To comply with and implement the College’s Health and Safety policy.
- Support developing, implementing, and reviewing all aspects of our communications and marketing planning, strategies, and processes.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of all marketing campaigns and associated materials, including all creative and production elements.
- Manage and deliver key events (Internal & External), including open events, awards ceremonies, and external exhibitions.
- Monitor campaign metrics and collate insights to be shared with the broader team and colleagues.
- Develop, launch, track and measure effective organic and paid media campaigns that drive growth in recruiting and retaining students (B2C) and employers (B2B).
- Provide focused support in developing and editing engaging content to showcase our work, including website articles, social media updates, case studies and other resources.
- Lead the organisation’s social media strategy and activities, including monitoring and measurement for the most significant impact.
- Maintain website content to ensure fresh, comprehensive, up-to-date, and focused on evidencing the college narrative, activities, events, and student achievements.
- Liaise with teachers, staff, and students to identify opportunities for engaging news stories that are ‘on brand’ for promotion via our website and social media channels.
- Use analytics to report on the results of digital campaigns, track monthly performance across channels and inform future activity.
- Manage the production of the annual student course guides and other key promotional publications by commissioning, collating, editing, and proofreading content.
- Lead on internal communications maintaining a communications tracker and an internal staff newsletter.
- Undertake media monitoring, maintain press cutting folders and archive all media coverage.
- Liaise with local and national newspapers, magazines, and appropriate specialist publications for editorial opportunities.
- Help develop and maintain a portfolio of branded assets promoting our offer and ensure we have collateral when and where needed.
- Liaise with media production departments and designers to ensure print and digital copy is supplied on spec and on time.
