Job Description

Kanso is a leading marketing effectiveness consultancy.

We collaborate with many of the world’s best-known brands – helping them to understand the true impact of their marketing – working together to answer specific marketing related questions and planning more effective marketing strategies.

We use techniques such as econometric modelling to build a detailed understanding of every marketing component and all of the influencing factors.We then relate what our models are showing us to what is happening in the real world. Using this deep insight, we work with clients to accurately forecast the impact of future campaigns.

Kanso analyses all elements of marketing, from the performance of brand and direct advertising, to price and promotional optimisation, and all within the context of the wider world – from climate change to the rising cost of living.

The Role

The role of Senior Analyst will be to support the rest of the team to produce outstanding marketing mix modelling (MMM) evaluation for our clients.This will include collecting and preparing data from a range of sources, using statistical analysis tools such as R, Eviews and Excel to produce robust models, and then translating the results into presentations to clearly communicate the results and insights to our clients.

At Kanso we also pride ourselves on our innovative approach to analysis and insight and you will also get involved in the development of new tools, techniques and other R&D projects alongside the senior members of the team.

Person Specification

We are looking for an independently minded analyst with 5 years of experience within a similar role. It might be you are coming from an agency, a specialist modelling house, client side, or are an independent – all are welcome to join and grow our team.

You will have experience in collating client data, understanding key relationships in the data, building statistical models, interpreting results, and writing presentations.Being able to translate a model into language that resonates with marketing teams is essential; you will have experience of presenting analysis to clients and be confident with day-to-day contact regarding data issues.

We currently work flexibility between remote locations and our London office. You will also on occasion travel to client locations to work or present findings.

Key requirements:

-5 years of marketing mix modelling (MMM) experience

-An enquiring and analytical mind – able to see through the detail to understand the bigger picture

-Experience of working with large datasets to extract and communicate meaning

-Ability to explain complex modelling in a clear and concise manner

-Confident in presenting analysis output to colleagues and clients

-Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
