**Sessional Youth Worker**:

- 3hrs per session up to 3 sessions per week

Community youth services is made up of a number of youth engagement services that seek to support young people were there at. We are community based enabling youth provisions to be directly delivered in communities. youth Voice is at our core ensuring we deliver services to young people that are relevant to their needs.

Youth work support young people aged 13-17yrs (up to 25yrs for SEND) to gain personal and social development opportunities enabling them to thrive into adulthood. Youth Club sessions are delivered mainly in the evenings in various locations across the city.
- To assist with the coordination and delivery of positive activities in both universal/ open access and targeted settings, with emphasis on vulnerable young people
- including those engaging in or at risk of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), becoming a first-time entrant to the Criminal Justice System, or becoming Not in Education, Training or Employment (NEET).
- To assist in the planning and develop access to universal/ open access provision for challenging groups of young people within the area.
- To work with partners to identify young people who require additional support and refer appropriately.
- To undertake project work in relation to work with vulnerable young people on a short
- or longer-term basis as required by the service.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
