HOW DOES THIS ROLE IMPACT YOUNG PEOPLE AND
(VULNERABLE) ADULTS?
The Senior Youth Worker role is both a co-ordination and front facing delivery role with a focus on co-ordinating and delivering youth (and youth led) activities. The Senior Youth Worker will: provide exciting and challenging developmental opportunities for young people. They will work to extend young peoples' comfort zones by facilitating situations that stretch them and allow them to learn & grow. They will ensure each participant has an opportunity to learn new skills and develop qualities that help prepare them for their future. They will support young people to make friends and memories that will enrich their lives. They will facilitate group and one-to-one discussions, ensure and support free expression, encourage engagement in social action and enable young people to take control, have a voice and develop as advocates/youth leaders.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
**Lead on and develop youth club provision, line manage staff and co-ordinate delivery**
**Deliver activities and opportunities to young people; focusing on personal and social development**
**Ensure all project outcomes are met**
**Develop project content, within the remit of the programme outcomes, to meet the needs of the young people**
**Develop and maintain Relationships**

HOW WILL YOU DO IT?
**Lead on and develop projects, line manage staff and co-ordinate delivery**
Lead from the front and provide an inspirational example for other members of your delivery team.
Familiarise yourself with the funded project and the specifics of the contract.
Effectively line manage staff, ensuring staff feel supported and are appropriately trained.
Work on different projects in line with business need, strategy, youth and community need and/or as directed by line manager.
Ensure that your projects are adequately staffed and supported.
Encourage the staff & young people to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all the young people in activities.
Deliver centre based, open access, outreach, detached and activity-based youth work.
Deliver youth and youth club activities and opportunities to young people focusing on personal and social development.

Work closely with other staff, setting up and expanding Endeavour's youth club provision, leading the delivery of activities and opportunities, planning schemes of work and sessions to meet project outcomes.
Identify, target and work with young people appropriate to your projects identifying their needs and introducing a programme of activities to provide new positive opportunities and experiences and support their personal development.
Ensure funded programmes are interpreted and delivered in accordance with participant’s aims, opinions, beliefs and ambitions - and that new programmes are co-created with participants..
Through activities, role modeling and support, equip the young people to reflect and to build up transferable skills, that will support them to make informed decisions about their actions and life choices, building their confidence and empowering them to make positive contributions to society.
Organise the preparation of snacks and drinks, ensuring that food hygiene standards are adhered to.
Notice and acknowledge accomplishments and achievements and celebrate these with the young people.
Ensure the young peoples' learning, achievements and contributions are recognised and accredited through celebratory events, training and certification (e.g. ASDAN / John Muir Award / AQA Unit Award Scheme).
Lead on visits, trips, residentials and offsite activities as required, ensuring the opportunity for experiential learning is implemented.
