Working in the Patient Safety Team as part of the wider Quality and Safety team, this role will provide a full and effective comprehensive range of administrative support which will enable the team to fulfil its function to a high-quality standard. The role requires knowledge of all aspects of incident management and expertise in use of the Ulysses system. You will be expected to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams including clinicians, managers and other administrative staff in a professional manner and provide guidance to all levels of staff on Sirona requirements for incident review. You will be required to facilitate completion of tasks and support Divisional teams in meeting internal and national standards. You will co-ordinate agendas and other documents for Sirona incident review groups and other departmental meeting, capturing outcomes from discussions at the meetings. You will need to be professional when dealing with sensitive issues.

To assist the Patient Safety Team in all aspects of the day-to-day management of incidents.

To actively support and promote a restorative, just and learn culture

To provide comprehensive and specialist incident administration support and acting as a primary point of contact for incident management queries and providing solutions on an ad hoc basis

To actively track progress with incidents, incident actions and presentation to support timely closure and learning

To actively contribute to ongoing quality improvements to support appropriate incident reporting and management

To support Sirona in meeting the requirements of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF)

To support meetings with Commissioner’s and providing status updates on incidents and associated action plans and learning

To support Ulysses system maintenance, user administration and data quality

To provide administrative support for the roll out of training across the Sirona

To complete various weekly monthly audits, including ordering notes, data collection, updating graphs and updating relevant reports

Work within own competencies to assist the patient safety team and escalate issues appropriately to ensure urgent situations are addressed swiftly

Manage own workload without day-to-day supervision
