**About the job**

To provide an effective, high quality service across the range of human resources activities and functions that supports the GLA's aims and objectives.

**Key responsibilities**
- Work as part of a human resources business partner team to support managers and staff across a range of HR activities.Act as the first point of contact for managers and staff within the business partner areas; responding to queries and requests for informationand support.
- Review and action changes to payroll updates on a monthly basis, including sharing information with HR Shared Services, submitting notifications to the payroll team and producing written confirmation to individuals.
- Analyse workforce data and draft responses to requests for information, including Freedom of Information and data access requests, Mayor’s questions and other general correspondence.

**Skills, knowledge, and experience**
- Experience of working in a similar Human Resources role with responsibility for a wide range of human resources activity
- Appreciation and awareness of policies and procedures of the following:

- performance management;
- equal opportunities in employment;
- discipline and grievance
- recruitment and retention
- Experience of using information technology including Word documents, excel spreadsheets, presentations and databases to produce letters, reports, management information, charts, and mail merge documents.
