Human Resources Manager

Our client is a fast-growing developer and operator of Renewable Energy projects, with an operational portfolio of close to 1GW of Solar and Onshore Wind assets across the UK and Ireland. They have significant investor backing and are looking to build to a 2.5GW portfolio by 2026.

We are therefore looking to appoint a Human Resources Manager to play their part in this growth journey by working across the full spectrum of HR Management.

We are looking for an analytical, flexible HR professional who will build strong interpersonal relationships across all levels of a dynamic and varied business.

Prior experience within Renewable Energy sector not required.

Role Responsibilities

  • Working with leadership team to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives

  • Nurture a positive working environment and culture, including leading the annual engagement surveys and managing employee communication and feedback

  • Manage recruitment processes and lead new started onboarding and induction

  • Support compensation framework and annual comp & benefits review process

  • Oversee implementation and operation of talent and performance management systems

  • Assist and advise leadership and team members on HR policy, practice, procedures and issues

  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across HR management

  • Administer HR-related paperwork such as employment contracts, new starter packs, etc

  • Keep leadership team informed of news or events that impact the wider company

  • Contribute to ad-hoc special strategic projects across various areas of the organisation

  • Manage general office facilities and act as the point of contact for office-related queries

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years’ experience in a Human Resources role ideally with experience as HR Business Partner

  • Preference for Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management; Level 7 beneficial

  • Able to foster a healthy, inclusive and collaborative workplace environment

  • Experience developing and improving HR policies and practices

  • Good working knowledge of UK law and HR best practices

  • Excellent communication skills and able to build interpersonal relationships at all levels of the business

  • Strong time management skills, able to work across multiple projects at once

  • Experience overseeing general office management including liaising with service providers

  • High level of proficiency in MS Office and other office productivity tools, and able to pick up new software and systems quickly

  • Flexible, adaptable team player looking to make a real impact across the company
