About the Role:
As Head of Central Operations, you’ll drive business performance, demonstrating effective leadership of teams and creating the right environment for effective delivery of exceptional customer service, as well as a safe and compliant service, whilst seeking continual improvement and enhanced profitability.

You’ll have the opportunity to continually innovate the ways we work and play a key part in our continued growth.

Our head of Central Operations will be located at our Head Office in Darwen, BB3 1AE.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**

You will work closely with our teams to bring strategic and tactical thinking, ensuring a clear roadmap for continuous improvement.
- Lead the Central Operations teams, delivering efficiencies whilst providing the very best service to our leaders and colleagues.
- Lead the delivery of outstanding service delivery and operational compliance and excellence.
- Set the standards and lead GDPR compliance efforts across the organisation, working closely with the external DPO, Legal and IT teams.
- Taking the lead on Health & Safety strategy and all aspects of Data Governance, you will be responsible for maximising the use of our data whilst ensuring we are compliant with data governance legislation
- Develop and execute loss prevention strategies to mitigate financial risks, delivered in line with HG cultural values.
- Develop and implement effective debt recovery strategies, being sensitive to HGs unique culture.
- Collaborate with the Central Operations Manager and Head of Project Management to continually improve operational systems and processes.
- Presenting to the executive and board committees on the risk landscape and progress managing principal risks and generating regular reports on operational performance for review by senior leadership.

**The Ideal Skills & Experience**

You’ll have strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, seamlessly able to engage and influence others. You’ll possess a natural gift for communication, fostering personable interactions and building relationships across all levels. With analytical abilities enabling you to interpret data and trends, providing insightful recommendations and guiding appropriate action. With experience leading multifunctional operational teams, particularly within clinically governed environments, you’ll navigate complexities with finesse. Familiarity with Data Protection legislation and its implementation is valued, as is operational expertise in Health & Safety regulations. Being able to demonstrate a commitment to continual growth and development. While experience in retail or healthcare environments is preferred, it's not essential. While holding a NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is advantageous, it's not a strict requirement.
