Welfare, Attendance and Trips Organiser

**Qualifications: GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English/Maths and First Aid Qualification**
- To be responsible for the safe supervision of children who require welfare assistance
- To be responsible for the care of sick and injured children during the school day, contacting parents as necessary
- To administer medicines as required, ensure safe storage and keep up-to-date records
- To maintain confidentiality about all aspects of school life
- The preparation and maintenance of First Aid bags and class asthma bags both in school and for use on school journeys and trips
- Maintaining and reordering all First Aid supplies as required
- Arranging for sick or injured children to be taken to hospital, accompanying them and ensuring their safe return to school or home
- To liaise with health officials to provide staff training
- To ensure Health, Welfare and Attendance policies are reviewed and updated
- Be aware of the emotional and social needs of pupils, and exercise a pastoral role when appropriate
- Organise lost property
- To attend relevant training courses to maintain up-to-date information
- To liaise with any relevant external agencies involved with the welfare of pupils
**Attendance and Trips Organiser**
- To carry out first day calling of absent pupils and record information on SIMS
- To complete all administration associated with SIMS attendance module
- To liaise with the Participation Team as required - complete monthly attendance returns
- Prepare reports for Headteacher and the Governing Body on attendance
- Book and organise school trips, ensuring their effective organisation and maintain records of online payments
**Other**
- To provide general admin duties and cover in the school office
- Support the school reception from 3pm
- Contribute to the overall ethos/aims/work of the school
- To make all arrangements necessary for class and individual photographs
- Other tasks commensurate with the general level of responsibility and scope of the post, as may be decided by the Headteacher and/or Governors in the context of the changing needs of the school
All staff should be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
