We seek to appoint an excellent teacher of Maths/STEM Lead who will join a dynamic and lively department. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional teacher to make a significant contribution to our Ofsted Outstanding school.We are looking for a colleague who will embrace our drive to ensure that Maths is at the core of our curriculum and has students' progress at the forefront of their teaching.The position is for a September start. The successful candidate will be expected to have the potential to teach Maths through KS3-KS5, including Pure Maths and Further Maths.

The candidate will be required:

To lead and embed our STEM provision. To disseminate information to the staff and provide training to promote staff development and improve classroom practice. To attend relevant training, participate in research, and share knowledge, skills, expertise, and enthusiasm with colleagues, including information from local & national sources. To plan an annual calendar of extra-curricular, enrichment, trips and other activities which enhance enjoyment of learning collaboration across STEM subjects.To be a member of the middle leadership Team to promote the development of STEM through collaboration with colleagues. To provide professional leadership for teachers and support staff in their understanding of the STEM provision.To develop innovative approaches in raising student & parental understanding about the role of STEM both at secondary and primary school level. To identify resources needed to meet the STEM needs and advise the Head Teacher of priorities for expenditure. To develop links with governors, Local Authorities and neighbouring schools To develop and embed relationships with key STEM industries, providers and other educational institutions.
