**About the job**

As part of our close-knit HR team, you will work with the HR Generalist and Head of HR to drive engagement with our staff and ensure the smooth running of the Newcastle office, contributing to a high quality employee experience at DRS.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Carry out general administrative tasks for the office including booking meetings/training, answering phones, greeting clients and visitors, organising the parking system, office orders, management of laptops, suppliers, and maintaining stationery supplies and filing systems, scanning and printing, as well as managing incoming and outgoing post.
- Responsible for maintaining orderly appearance of the office
- Troubleshooting staff IT issues and working with our IT providers to assist with resolving IT issues.
- Management of tech set up for new joiners - at home and office.
- Support recruitment by organising interviews and delivering CVs and relevant information and analysis to the relevant hiring managers, plus updating job advertisements.
- Support organisation and planning of social & charity activities and events.
- Booking business travel and accommodation and providing invoicing to accounts.
- Support monthly HR reporting.

We’re not expecting you to have previous experience, but we are keen to find someone with the right attitude to learn on the job and get stuck into our productive team spirit. Aside from that, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and attributes:

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
- Technical skills: Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook) and IT.
- Team work: Energetic, professional and friendly team player who is able to work effectively both within a team and autonomously.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisation and time management skills are a must, with a proven ability to multi-task.
- Judgement and decision making: proven ability to take initiative and utilise problem solving skills.
- Qualification: Higher educated as a minimum (a degree is desirable).
