Working as part of the department responsible for all hospitality, catering and housekeeping operations across the Royal residences, our Events Team lead the delivery of unique and varied events that make up the Royal Calendar. As well as internal events and meetings that support our day-to-day operations.

Your role will be to oversee and coordinate activities that facilitate the smooth running of the Events Team office, as well as supporting the management of events of varying complexity.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead on the planning of events in the Royal Calendar. You’ll lead aspects of event management, you’ll oversee requests and approvals, maintain event overviews, coordinate volunteers, and collect event feedback.
- You’ll take the lead in establishing and implementing effective office processes, ensuring compliance, and developing a culture of operational excellence.
- Working at the heart of the team, you’ll manage team meetings and schedules, arrange travel, co-ordinate meeting agendas, be the first port of call for queries and manage correspondence.
- With an eye for detail, you’ll maintain our events database, working with colleagues to identify system improvements to enhance the guest experience.
- Producing quarterly KPI reports, you’ll support decision-making and event planning processes.

Your role will be broad, but you will ensure that every task is delivered on time. It's a fast paced and high-profile environment, and you'll have responsibility from day one. Yet you'll rise to the challenge and will be proud of the part you play.
- About you**Essential Criteria**
- Experience of working in a busy office setting with excellent administration skills.
- Exceptional planning and organisation skills, able to work at pace to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build great working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Calm under pressure and able to respond with pragmatism to changing circumstances.
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office and some familiarity with database systems.
- Excellent written and numeracy skills, with an eye for detail and an ability to produce reports for different audiences.
- At your best working as part of a team, you also have initiative and a flexible, supportive ‘can-do’ approach.
