**About the role**:
Powys has the most extensive highway network in Wales, and is responsible for ensuring the effective management, maintenance, and improvement of all highway assets.

The role will primarily support the daily use and development of our spatial database asset management systems. It will provide the key point of contact for end users seeking guidance and assistance while providing management information on service performance and future development opportunities.

**About you**:

- IT literate in spatial databases, hosted services, handheld data collection;
- Organised and methodical with an attention to detail;
- Self motivated;
- Proactive;
- Versatile;
- Able to communicate effectively.

**What you will do**:

- IT technical support and guidance for end users;
- Day-to-day operation and maintenance of highway asset systems;
- Report on service delivery compliance against standards;
- Procurement and maintenance of end user hardware [phones, tablets etc]
- System development;
- Contribute to policy development.
