- Team Coordinator**

**40 hours per week shift work**

**Salary - £25000 per annum**

**We are a small person-centred bespoke Learning disability service providing 24-hour residential care for two young adults who have severe learning disabilities, associated complex needs and behaviours that challenge. Our service users are supported within every aspect of day to day living and require a practical hands-on approach to enable them in having a fulfilling and good quality of life.**

**We are looking for a Team Coordinator that has the skills and experience to act as delegated authority in the absence of The Registered Manager as well as playing a proactive role in the supervision and motivation of a staff team staff.**

**This remains a “hands on” position working on a 1:1 basis with all service users promoting and ensuring holistic support is always provided in a proactive manner.**

**Management of teams and individuals**
- Manage and support staff in line with Policies and Procedures, including staff supervision, absence management, disciplinary and grievance issues as well as conflict resolution. Promote staff to perform their tasks in a timely and organized manner.
- Promote and support effective team working through inspiring positive communication. Be responsible for motivating the staff team so that they can work together toward achieving identified goals.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as agreed by the Registered Manager.
- Develop and maintain effective communication systems within the team and manage and over see report writing and record keeping.
- Ensure effective representation and joint working with key agencies, families, and individuals.
- Promote the organisation in a positive manner.

**Principal Duties**

Ensure that team members understand and endorse the aims and objectives of the home by guidance, instruction, and practice.

Responsibility for clear lines of communication ensuring staff are fully conversant with their duties to include regular team meetings, supervision of staff members.

Take appropriate action to remedy any unsatisfactory staff performance, recording any significant action.

To promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents, within a policy of managed risk taking.

Ensuring that each service user’s care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs.

Keeping accurate records and providing written reports on service users as directed by the manager.

Implement a PBS framework for the prevention and management of individuals behaviour in a non-aversive manner.

Enable and support service users to participate in recreation and leisure activities.

Continue to develop your own knowledge and practice and be able to be a reflective practitioner

Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post. Attending to practical matters in relation to the upkeep of the home (cooking, cleaning etc) and undertake duties that may from time to time be required by the Registered Manager.

Attending and contributing to regular supervision sessions for both yourself and staff in line with the relevant standards.

Being willing to give and receive feedback on performance with colleagues and managers.

Monitoring the conduct of staff and managing staff in a proactive manner

This post requires the holder to do varying shifts, which include early.

morning and late evening work and night duty. The post holder also is required to work weekends and bank holidays as part of the 24 hour 365 days a year service cover.

On occasions you may be requested to change your rota at a given notice as per your contract, to ensure the contingencies of the service is covered.

In accordance with the guidelines on Health and Safety, to accept responsibility for working within these guidelines and report any concerns. to the Registered Manager. Being familiar with all policies and procedures and adhering to them.

This post requires the holder to always have a clear DBS check Changes to personal circumstances which may affect this must be notified to your line manager immediately.

You will ensure that all regulatory and contractual standards are met and exceeded.

Liaise with external professionals, individuals and families as required to ensure that the needs of the service users are supported are reviewed regularly and plans developed so that we continue to meet their needs.

Ensure that appropriate person-centred support arrangements are in place for everyone.

Actively promote and support inclusion, ensuring that individuals are supported to participate in community.

Provide coaching and mentoring to staff.

Ensure health and safety requirements are met within services and comply with Health & Safety Legislation.
