CIMSPA is the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector, committed to supporting, developing and enabling professionals and organisations to succeed and, as a result, inspire our nation to become more active.

Together we’re developing a vibrant, UK-wide sport and physical activity sector, with the highest standards of service delivery.

We are looking for a Technical Education Coordinator to support the Technical Education Manager in developing and managing the technical scope of the career pathway for the sport and physical activity sector, including managing a partnership offer for awarding organisations, further education colleges and apprenticeship provision, as well as implementing new projects and initiatives.

You will work with the Skills Hub Managers and CIMSPA Academy providers to support the development and implementation of local skills strategies, through shaping a curriculum and educational offering that enables post-16 technical education or training to be more responsive and closely aligned to local labour market needs, ensuring a better match between the supply of, and demand for, the skills employers most need to thrive and boost productivity.

**Key tasks include but are not limited to**:

- Support and develop relationships with further education (FE) institutions.
- Support FE staff through conducting a needs analysis, and then with training and development to ensure effective delivery of a local curriculum offer.
- Support and manage the development of tailored FE study programmes to meet the needs of local employers and ensure they align with the local skills diagnostics.
- Support and develop sport and physical activity careers guidance for FE providers and the local skills hub.
- Manage queries from the FE partner network and support where needed.
- Develop the most appropriate educational offer for the skills hubs, including different delivery offers through work based, micro-credentials, academic and vocational education.
- Maintain current product endorsements where appropriate and endorse new products in line with the identified needs and priority areas supported by moderators.
- Support the Education team to ensure CIMSPA’s role as the industry regulator is fulfilled.
