Hotel Service Assistant

Location: Fulwood Hall Hospital, Lancashire

Hours: 20 hours per week, Part-time (16.00 to 20.00 Mon-Fri - flexibility will be required to cover weekends, annual leave and sickness)

Summary:
Fulwood Hall Hospital was opened as a purpose built facility in 1986. In 2009 the hospital completed a £9m pound investment to refurbish and expand the site, making it the largest independent hospital in Lancashire and one of the largest in the north of England.

The hospital has six consulting rooms supported by a fully equipped outpatient treatment room, a pre-assessment unit for screening and assessing patients prior to surgery as well as modern imaging facilities and a brand new physio and sports therapy department including gymnasium.

The role:
We currently have a great opportunity for a Hotel Service Assistant to join our team at Fulwood Hall Hospital, based in Preston.

As the Hotel Service Assistant you will be reporting to the Catering Supervisor who will provide a high standard of catering service, as part of the support services team.

Shift pattern will be 16.00 to 20.00 Monday to Friday. Flexibility will be required to cover weekends, annual leave and sickness.

Duties and responsibilities
- You will be part of a team who ensure the preparation and delivery of a food and beverage service to patients.
- As a Hotel Service Assistant you will be responsible for the service of all food and drink to the patients, staff and visitors.
- Additional tasks will consist of the washing of cutlery, replenishing our hot drinks machines and explaining the daily menus across all meals
- You will be part of a team of Service Assistants who are fundamental in ensuring that all work is carried out in a hygienic and methodical manner and that standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital are in line with our policies.

Who we're looking for
- Ideally you will be an experienced Catering Assistant from a Healthcare or similar industry with demonstrable experience in a customer facing environment/role.
