The Grand Hotel, Torquay has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Conference & Events Coordinator to join the team.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Responsible for co-ordinating allocated Conference and banqueting events
- Assisting Weddings team with event coordination when required
- Negotiating rates for conference and banqueting enquiries
- Responsible for selling, quoting and co-ordinating all wedding bookings
- Produce contracts for each event for confirmation
- Detail breakdown of functions on the conference spreadsheet and checking against daily budgets
- Set up function accounts for billing purposes
- Arranging appointments for show rounds to sell the hotel, and taking appointments to discuss in detail the client’s requirements for their function
- Preparing function sheets for all departments
- Prepare menus, table plans, place cards and breakdown of food choices for kitchen and producing layouts for restaurant information
- Responsible for charging events when in house and sending on accounts after the event
- Carry out sales calls
- To carry out reasonable further duties as requested by the management team
