**OVERALL OBJECTIVES**:

- To create Production volume plans based on existing stock levels and customer forecasts.
- To provide administrative support to Managers.
- To support basic reception duties

**MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE**:
**Evaluating Stock Levels**
- Reconcile existing stock on site and at distribution centre.
- Input data into daily planning tool.
- Review stock requirements for distribution centre.
- Identify and resolve any stock discrepancies.
- Liaise with customer ordering departments.

**Production Planning**
- Evaluate forecasts and demand to prevent overstocking and shortages.
- Using Planning tool, plan daily production to replenish stock to adequate levels.
- Check and process purchase orders for despatch via Sage.
- Ensure all customer orders have the correct despatch documentation/data.

**Despatch**
- Using Planning tool evaluate stock requirement to be despatched to distribution centre.
- Prepare respective despatch documentation and liaise with distribution centre daily.
- Distribute pallet planning data to logistics’ partners.

**Customer Forecasts**
- Download customer provisional future volumes from respective portals and input into planning tool.
- To be aware of ongoing customer promotions and long terms forecasts. Identifying any discrepancies to Planning Manager.

**Administrative Support**
- Collating periodic information from planning system.
- Updating KPIs daily.
- Create weekly reports from KPI information.
- Ordering and monitoring movement of pallets and crates.
- Liaising with Sales Ledger department to resolve discrepancies.
- Provide data administration support to Commercial Manager.
- Deputise for Planning Manager when required.

**Reception**
- First point of contact over telephone.
- Welcoming visitors and ensuring that they have signed in on site.

**Competency & Skills**
- Good knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word is essential.
- Can communicate and articulate themselves clearly: in person, via the telephone and in writing with internal colleagues and customers.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the need for: attention to detail; accuracy; quality of work within an appropriate time frame; speed of response to requests; deadlines and adherence to them.
- Demonstrates an ability to work as an active and constructive member of a team.
- Strong organisational, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
- Communication is key to coordination.

**Prior experience**
- Essential: Outlook, Excel and Word within a business environment.
- Desirable: Similar sales/distribution/planning admin/stock control role. Food industry knowledge. Sage or similar. Customer service.

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
