We are currently looking for a Payroll Officer on behalf of our client based in Bury St Edmunds This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed team with a brilliant business
**Salary**: £25-30k (Depending on experience)
Hours: Monday-Friday (08:00-17:00) Hybrid/flexible working
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate payroll processing system and records.
- Manage all payroll related queries, proactively resolving them or escalating when necessary.
- Prepare and finalise payroll reports ready for submission and approval for payment.
- Work alongside HR to ensure any changes in pension and benefits are processed and accurately maintained.
- Reconcile payroll and pension related reports.
- Assist the finance team with driving global payroll strategy and streamlining processes.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies between HRM system, timesheet system and internal payroll reports.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a Payroll position
- Detailed understanding of tax and payroll laws
- Team-Player with strong communication skills
- Highly organised to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Excel and Accounting systems
