This role is based in Farnborough, Hampshire with 2 days per week in the office. Our office is within walking distance of the train station and has free parking. This is a full-time position, however work life balance is important to us and so we are open to discussion on flexible working patterns (minimum 4 days per week).
**Role**:
As the Head of HR Shared Service, you will be instrumental in delivering our vision of creating a high-performing, agile, and employee-centric group of specialist travel brands. Your strategic leadership will align HR services with our overall business goals, driving operational excellence and ensuring a seamless employee experience. You will leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making, support employee engagement strategies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. By ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and collaborating with stakeholders, you will enhance HR service delivery. Staying abreast of HR trends and innovations, you will adapt our strategies to meet evolving business needs, ultimately supporting our people, planet and profit goals.
**What Does a Typical Day Look Like?**
You may be at home or visiting the Farnborough office to meet with your team, wider HR team and other key stakeholders. You will choose how to spend your day to get the most out of it. It is a hands-on role so your day can vary from strategy to sorting out a facilities issue. There will most likely be a Teams call with one of our Heads of HR to discuss data or a benefits provider to discuss terms. Following this, you will have some check-ins with your team to discuss what matters to them that week; this could be goal-based questions, or it could be centred on their development. You may have a call with your Line Manager and need to analyse some data for a business report. At the end of the day, you may meet your team for some social time.
**Working as part of the broader HR team, this role will lead and engage the team to**:
**Drive employee engagement** metrics by aligning reward and recognition and policy frameworks to our people and planet strategies, using internal and external data and trends.
**Strategic Leadership**: Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the shared services function and develop a high-performing shared services team. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture, providing coaching and development opportunities to team members.
**Service Delivery**:Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of shared services to internal stakeholders. Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and customer satisfaction**.**
**Process Optimisation**:Lead process standardisation and optimisation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations and develop HR system self service capabilities.
**Budget Management**:Oversee the shared services and facilities budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high-quality service standards.
**Technology Integration**:Leverage technology and automation to enhance service delivery and efficiency. Up to date knowledge of HR industry trends to continuously improve shared services operations.
**Benefit and Policy development**:engage employees with relevant and engaging benefits, policies and communications across employee touchpoints.
**Risk Management**:Identify and mitigate risks associated with shared services operations. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards. Act as the primary GDPR lead within the team, overseeing all aspects of data protection and privacy. Monitor data processing activities to ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection laws.
**Reporting and Analytics**:Provide regular reports and insights on shared services performance to senior management. Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
