An exciting opportunity has arisen at the British Museum for a Payroll and Systems Advisor to manage the operational and advisory aspects of the outsourced payrolls for the British Museum and the British Museum Company.

**About the role**:
As the technical contact for the HR self-service portal, you will be responsible for ensuring all payroll changes are recorded accurately within the Museum’s HR database, maintaining processes to ensure the integrity of this data, as well as producing and retaining an audit trail. You will also coordinate and participate in the monthly sign-off process for both payrolls in collaboration with Finance, ensuring payroll changes are communicated to the payroll provider clearly and in a timely manner.

This role will act as first point of contact for all Payroll and Pension queries and will also act as System Administrator and main contact for queries from employees using the Museum self-service portal.

**About you**:
You will have knowledge of PAYE and strong experience of working with and maintaining databases. You will be educated to A-level or have equivalent experience and excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Resource Link and CIPHR modules is desirable.

With excellent attention to detail you will be able to scrupulously check your own work, working accurately and quickly to rigorous processes. Strong prioritisation skills are essential.
