**Bookkeeper**
Join a growing logistics and storage company based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. We are supporting to recruit a role that will assist the General Manager & Directors with day-to-day aspects of accounts administration, business data analysis and reports. Helping their customer service administrator in supporting our customers.
**Responsibilities**
- Work within the team to raise sales invoices and any potential credits on our internal TMS system.
- Communicate effectively with our accounts team making sure invoicing is in line with their cash flow forecasting.
- Oversee insurance claims and make sure the file is up to date and customer claims are being settled in a timely manner.
- Process purchase invoices using our Sage accounting software.
- Input any expense claims and reconcile receipts so that the external accounts team can process payment.
- Assist the team with managing future departmental budgets.
- Gather both financial and operational data so that a suite of reports and spreadsheets can be created for the relevant teams.
- Ensuring customers delivery services are maintained to a high standard and deliveries are made on time.
- Monitor the Pall-Ex system for potential delivery failures and adjust purchase prices accordingly.
- Raise discrepancies for oversized freight, redeliveries, or failed deliveries.
- Work with the team and supply weekly reports covering, damages, complaints, delivery service, highlight problem areas or depots.
- Work within the customer service team and assist with any queries or problems so that customers are satisfied with the outcome and maintain a good service experience.
- Assist directors with any other business tasks as they require
**Requirements**:
- Maintain a positive relationship with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Hold a Valid Driving License
- Have working knowledge of retrieving, handling, and processing data to produce Excel spreadsheets and tables etc.

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
