Accounts Administrator

Responsibilities:
- As an Accounts Administrator at Market Place, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance and accounting operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining accurate financial records and databases.
Processing invoices, purchase orders, Operations financial returns and expense claims.
Reconciling bank statements and accounts payable/receivable.
Paying vendors by scheduling FPS/BACs payments
Processing payments within agreed timescales and continuing to improve the payment process.
Responding to vendor/colleague enquiries regarding finance
Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
Raising financial queries with colleagues and monitoring until resolved
Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports.
Analysing VAT breakdown in accordance with work & supplier type
File management and scanning documentation
Liaising and building relationships with third party companies
Chasing missing information
Meeting Deadlines
Maintaining historical records
Some general administrative tasks
**Skills**:
- Bookkeeping: 2 year (preferred)
Xero accounting software (preferred)
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records (preferred).
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
Data entry skills along with an aptitude for numbers
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and excellent Excel skills
Proficiency in English and in MS Office
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
